In machine construction especially parts out of high and ultra high molecular weight low pressure polyethylene are used where these are subject to abrasion stress, or in direct contact with strongly corrosive media: gears, chain wheels, bushes, wearing strips, pulleys, rope guide rollers, valves, slide plates, rubbing strips, skimmers and runners, also ribbed guides and guide rails for conveyor belts, pump components, gasket seals etc.
Here stress relieved finished parts are used. By the use of our modern machinery we are able to produce large-sized parts, such as these finished products.
Cutting boards as well as boards for work tables of high molecular weight low pressure polyethylene are not only used by the industry but also by the households. They are hygienically unobjectionable, physiologically inoffensive according to the report of the Federal German Ministry of Health. High molecular low pressure polyethylene for the food industry is used in form of cutting boards, rammers, rolling pins, chopping blocks and moulds, and also as plates in vacuum packaging machinery.
High and ultra high molecular weight low pressure polyethylene is employed for the manufacture of star conveyor devices, guide rollers and deflector rollers for bottle filling and labelling machines, bearing boxes, rubbing strips, sliding rails, sliding tables and screw conveyors. These machine components are often in contact with acid media or water and detergents, or are exposed to friction and abrasive wear.
To protect the ocean ships and the dockyards from damage , ultra high molecular weight polyethylene in virgin or regenerated quality has proven to be a perfect material to absorb and deflect the energy created through the docking procedure.
For this kind of industry ultra high molecular weight low pressure polyethylene is used as suction box covers, suction blades, foil blades, scraper and deflecting blades etc. Because of its high resistance to wear the material is proved to be very economic. Due to the low coefficient of friction it grants a very long wire life-time. Ultra high molecular weight low pressure polyethylene can be used with metal and plastic wires.
Complete modules are developed, constructed and then produced for the plant and testing equipment technology sectors. Special test shells made of plastic are used in the production of mobile phones, for example.
Owing to its good electrical properties, including low dielectric loss factor, which remains almost constant over a wide temperature range, especially at high frequencies, ultra high molecular weight low pressure polyethylene is preferably chosen for the production of insulator components in the high and ultra high frequency range.
In electroplating plants, many components come in contact with highly corrosive media. Ultra high molecular weight low pressure polyethylene is strongly recommended for the manufacture of these components because of its good resistance to chemicals. Thus, for instance, mountings and fittings, expansion bellows, plating drums, gear wheels, bearing linings, conveyor rollers, sliding rails and other items of equipment are manufactured from this material.
High and ultra high molecular weight PE has been used successfully for ski and snow boards. OKULEN® ski soles and snow board soles are sanded and flame treated in order to achieve a better adhesion. They are available in various colours such as natural, black, antistatic(conductive), coloured and also multicoloured, transparent, or double sintered. OKULEN® soles are made not only on coils, but also cut to size and if requested cut to shape.
On the basis of detailed technical descriptions from customers the machining of the finished components is started.
We are strong in machining on CNC machinery.
The programmes are written "in house" based on customers drawings with consideration for the most economical way of machining.
Our programming office is equipped with the latest CAD-CAM equipment.
There is a direct communication between the office and the workshop machinery, guaranteeing the optimum in machining efficiency.
All special tooling requirements are manufactured in our own workshops.
The machinery itself employs the latest technology.
Our machining department has CNC machinery with 2 to 5 controlled axes for turning and milling requirements.
When turning components on our CNC lathes we guarantee a high quality level.
